Cabin Fever

With 7-8 inches of snow here in Nixa, everyone is getting cabin fever. Luckily Meemaw and Peepaw are being helpful in giving Hayden a night out. He is headed to Increbile Pizza which has allowed me some time to upload a few new photos. I am still waiting on the birth announcements to arrive and then I will get them in the mail to everyone.


This picture is not included because its great of Hudson, I just had to show everyone the great cutting skills of Hayden. Can you see his chunk of hair missing on the left side of his head....yes, he loves scissors.






Hudson's first Sunday at church.




Hudson was all dressed up here last Saturday night for a night downtown. He went to Maria's with both sets of grandparents. He slept through the whole dinner.

Settling In

We are settling in here at home with Hudson. Hayden is still proud of his Little Brother, however, the jealousy has definitely set in. There have been some rough patches with Hayden, however, overall things are going great. Hudson has been an angel. I know its early and he is only a little over a week old, but I may have gotten the sleeper I was praying for. For the last 5 nights, Hudson has gone down by 9:30 and is sleeping 3-4 hours at a time and goes right back to sleep after nursing. Most nights I am only up with him twice. I am praying this continues. I have Hudson's birth announcements ordered as well as copies of his hospital picture. I will get them in the mail to everyone next week (hopefully):)

Hudson's Home

Hudson was released from the hospital just in time to pick up Big Brother Hayden at school on Friday. It was pretty exciting for mommy to pick up Hayden after not seeing him since Tuesday night. The hospitals around here do not allow kids under 14 inside right now due to H1N1 so it was a long time for mommy to go without seeing her big boy. Hayden is so proud of Hudson. He has been very gentle so far and thinks Hudson is just about it. We will see how long it lasts. We will work to get more pictures up in the coming days.

Hudson had his first doctor's appointment today and got a perfect bill of health. He had dropped to 8'15" when we left on Friday, but was back up to 9'1" this morning which was encouraging. He is quite the nurser, I must say.

Hudson Dale Cheek Arrives

Hudson came into this world on 1/13/10 weighing in at a hefty 9 pounds 8 ounces. He has a good amount of light brown hair. He is doing great and took to nursing like he had been doing it for weeks. Here are a few pictures.

Hayden's Last Hoorah before Hudson Arrives

Since we won't have tons of free time once Hudson arrives, Steve and I have been trying to do lots of fun outings with Hayden over the last few days. Last night we took him to Outback and then Chuckie Cheese. Last weekend he went to a Lady Bears Game with both sets of grandparents and had a blast. He got to cheer on his friend Lacey and the hightlight was getting his photo with Boomer the Bear.
