More Milestones

Hayden is officially a big boy now!!! He has been in underwear for 3 weeks now and has only had 4 accidents total. We still put him in a pull up at nap and at night, but sometimes he is even dry in the pull ups. He is really growing up. The only thing left to do with him is to get him to use the bathroom at school. He holds it all day which is not healthy but I don't know what else to do.

Hudson is doing great other than his bowels. He is still having problems going poo. He is on a laxative along with a juice/water combo bottle twice a day and that still is not always doing the trick. He is almost 20 pounds and is now sitting up unassisted for a few seconds at at time. He is starting to babble using the [d] sound and really likes working on his tummy. He can push himself up very high and I think it won't be long before he is crawling.

Changes for Hudson and Hayden

Last weekend Steve went to the Cards game in St. Louis so Hayden and I got some special time together at Meemaw's pool while Meemaw watched Hudson. Hayden loves the water and had so much fun. Hudson is changing sooooo much. He now rolls over and over and over. He no longer sleeps in his swaddle and I have given up breast feeding. With my milk decreasing quite a bit, Hudson refused to nurse because he was not getting milk nearly fast enough for his 20 pound body. He is such a chunk! He is so heavy to lift. I think I will soon be able to take him out of the pumpkin seat and move him to Hayden's seat which means investing in a new booster for him. I have also started Hudson on cereal. He was not too thrilled the first two nights, but by the third night I think he was actually swallowing some.

Hayden is growing up too. He is now wearing underwear. We are sooooo proud of him. He has been for over a week and he has never had more than 1 accident per day. All have been wetting accidents and the pooping has been a snap...."knock on wood."

"School's Out for the Summer"

Summer is here and we have been trying to do lots of fun stuff with the boys. We took the boys to the pool for the first time this season and Hayden loved it. Hudson was not too fond of the water the first time. Our neighborhood also had a picnic that had a fire truck arrive which totally thrilled Hayden. He got to climb up in it, follow it in a short little parade and watch the firemen spray water up into the air with their hoses. He was in heaven. Hudson was a trooper in the heat too. It was a fun weekend.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a nice Memorial Day weekend. Went went to the Springfield Cardinals game on Saturday and I think Hayden ate his weight in candy and junk while we were there. He is getting to be such a grown up boy. Now if we could just get him potty trained. Hudson is growing like a weed too. He can now sit in his bumbo seat as well as using his Exersaucer. He has been a little fussy lately and I think he may be working on some teeth as well as having bowel problems. School is out on Wednesday and then starts a summer of fun for both boys.
